Lutheran Heritage Week



Last week, the other employees at the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod’s International Center drew straws to determine who would be assigned the unenviable task of informing President Harrison and Rev. Fritz Baue that it was Lutheran Heritage Week. You can take the boy out of the country…

I noticed online there is a type of Meerschaum called a "churchwarden." Maybe we could get Pastor Baue one of those for his birthday: http://meerschaummerchant.com/c-202-churchwardens.aspx

I received an email from Pastor Baue. He says of the blog post "That was great!" He also notes that the meerschaum pipe was a gift from a family of Turkish Muslims that I am teaching about Jesus." Who says LCMS country boys don't have broad horizons?!

Jim, President Harrison and Pastor Baue had locked their arms in a show of pastoral solidarity. That's President Harrison's left hand - he's wearing his favorite pair of work gloves.
